Sukhu affirms Government's commitment to 'Respect for all' mantra

The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, highlighted the achievements of his government, stating that within one and a half years, they have fulfilled five out of the ten major election promises made to the people. Emphasizing the government's commitment to inclusive development, Sukhu reiterated their dedication to ensuring progress in various sectors, including employment for youth, better opportunities for children, empowerment of women, and economic empowerment for farmers and laborers.
Progress on election promises
Sukhu emphasized that the state government has made significant strides in fulfilling its election promises. These include amendments to the Land Ceiling Act to grant equal status to sons, addressing revenue-related issues through changes in rules and organizing revenue lok adalats. These efforts have led to the resolution of numerous pending revenue cases, providing substantial relief to the people.

Condemnation of political betrayal
Expressing disappointment with the opposition, Sukhu criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly using money power to influence politics. He accused six Congress MLAs of betraying the public trust by defecting to the BJP, leading to unnecessary by-elections and burdening the people of the state. Sukhu affirmed that such betrayal cannot be tolerated and stressed the importance of defeating money power with people's support.

Sukhu also outlined the government's vision for the future, aiming to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant by 2027 and the most prosperous state in the country by 2032.
